Job summary

The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital is seeking Rotational Pharmacists to join its team within the NHS framework. You will gain experience across main clinical and therapeutic areas, working with a Pharmacy team and medicine management technicians at ward level.

In the aseptic suite you will handle parenteral nutrition, chemotherapy and radiopharmaceuticals, and you may pursue the in-house STEP Up programme toward the Newly Qualified Pharmacist Pathway.

Qualifications

• Honours Degree in Pharmacy / M.Pharm. and GPhC registration are required.
• Mandatory CPD to maintain fitness to practice.
• Good clinical knowledge and ability to evaluate drug treatments.

Responsibilities

• Carry out duties in Clinical Pharmacy Services at ward and department level.
• Work closely with Consultants and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe, effective and efficient use of medicines.
• Provide technical support in the preparation of aseptically prepared medicinal products (PN, Cytotoxic Chemotherapy, Radiopharmaceuticals etc).
• Study for, and successfully complete the Postgraduate Clinical Diploma.
