Job summary

The Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an enthusiastic rotational pharmacist to join the Hospital Pharmacy team in Reading. You will experience multiple specialties on a 3-month rotation and be supported by clinical pharmacists and lead specialty pharmacists.

The role requires a recently completed pre-registration year or a qualified pharmacist looking to gain hospital experience, with opportunities for professional development and mentoring.

Qualifications

• NHS experience required.
• Patient counselling and drug history taking.
• Multi-disciplinary teamwork in a hospital setting.
• Experience of pharmacy computer technology and pharmacy IT systems.
• Supervisory experience desirable.
• Experience implementing and enforcing protocols.

Responsibilities

• Rotational pharmacist responsible for professional aspects of day-to-day pharmaceutical service.
• Post is developmental; support from a senior colleague is provided as needed.
