Job summary

Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking a rotational pharmacist to work across ward, dispensary and cancer services. The role progresses from band 6 to a band 7 specialist position via a structured development pathway with gateway assessments.

You will undertake medication histories, clinical checks, and supervision of pre-registration staff, with weekend and on-call duties. GPhC registration and NHS experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Pharmacy degree and GPhC registration required.
• Recent NHS secondary care pharmacy experience.
• Ability to communicate complex medicine information clearly.
• Demonstrates commitment to CPD and professional development.

Responsibilities

• Take medication histories and reconcile medicines on allocated wards.
• Deliver pharmaceutical care and adjust prescribing per evidence-based medicine.
• Perform clinical checks of dispensary and chemotherapy prescriptions against formulary and policies.
• Supervise pre-registration staff and provide clinical teaching to staff.
