Job summary

University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust invites applications for a Band 5 Occupational Therapist. The post is a rotational role within the inpatient OT team, with community visits and a six-month rotation blocks across trauma, orthopaedics, acute medicine, surgery, stroke, frailty and rehabilitation, including integrated community therapy.

Inpatient experience is essential; HCPC registration and ability to travel between sites are required.

Qualifications

• HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist.
• Diploma or Degree in Occupational Therapy approved by the College of OT.
• Experience in core OT competencies at undergraduate level.
• Membership of the British Association of Occupational Therapists.

Responsibilities

• Assess and treat patients in inpatient and community settings.
• Work within an MDT to plan and deliver patient care.
• Maintain clear documentation and safety standards.
• Support newly qualified OTs through preceptorship and supervision.
