Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Band 6 Rotational Midwife to join Women’s Services at Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. Working across Leeds General Infirmary, St James’s University Hospital and community settings, you will provide safe, evidence-based, personalised care to women, birthing people and their babies throughout pregnancy, birth and the postnatal period.

This varied role offers internal rotation across maternity services, including day and night shifts, within a large tertiary maternity service supporting approximately 10,000 births each year. As a tertiary referral centre for obstetrics and neonatology, we work closely with specialist teams including fetal medicine, adult and neonatal cardiology, neonatal surgery and reproductive medicine, giving you broad clinical experience and opportunities to develop your practice.

You will join a supportive, multidisciplinary service committed to women-centred care, learning, research and improvement. We value collaboration, professional development and shared leadership, and you will have opportunities to support learners, participate in audit and quality improvement, develop clinical leadership skills and make a meaningful difference to families across Leeds.

  • Flexibility to rotate across hospital and community settings and work day and night shifts.

  • Ability to travel to community settings and women’s homes.
