Job summary

JCB is offering a Design and Development (Mechanical Engineering) Graduate Scheme starting September 2027 for 24 months. The programme rotates across areas such as design, development and product innovation, with a commercial placement to broaden understanding of the business.

You will work on current and new products, updating parts and features to meet laws and customer demand, and participate in testing to ensure robust machines, with an assessment process from late 2026 onward.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in mechanical/automotive/motorsport/aeronautical engineering and on track to achieve a 2:1 or higher.

Responsibilities

• Rotate across different areas of the business, including design, development and product innovation.
• Experience a commercial placement to broaden understanding of the business.
• Contribute to updating components and features to meet legislative and customer needs.
• Participate in testing and development to ensure robustness of machines.
