Job summary

Buy It Direct is offering a graduate-level role within Logistics and Final Mile in the UK. You will rotate through planning, reverse logistics, and invoicing, gaining hands-on experience with live business challenges affecting customers and costs.

You'll develop commercial understanding, analytical capability and operational judgement while receiving support and taking ownership of meaningful improvements. This is an excellent chance for a driven graduate to grow in a dynamic e-retailer

Responsibilities

• Rotate through core Logistics and Final Mile functions, developing a rounded understanding of the end-to-end delivery and returns journey.
• Work alongside operational teams, carriers and support functions to understand how orders move from despatch through to delivery, collection, return or resolution.
• Use data to investigate service, cost and process issues, identify the underlying cause and recommend practical next steps.
• Support day-to-day planning and coordination activity, helping the team respond when demand, capacity or priorities change.
• Assist with reverse-logistics activity, including returns, collections, damages, losses, stock recovery and ageing exceptions.
• Support carrier and supplier invoice checks by validating charges, investigating exceptions and ensuring costs are complete and accurate.
• Take part in continual-improvement projects from problem definition through analysis, testing, implementation and review.
• Create and maintain clear reports, trackers, process maps and action logs.
