Job summary

Partnership Recruiting is seeking an experienced Mechanical Shift Fitter for a permanent role with a large industrial site near Fort William. You will perform planned and reactive maintenance across production equipment, fault find, and respond to breakdowns to keep the operation safe and efficient.

Working in a rotating shift pattern, you’ll collaborate with the maintenance team and production colleagues to minimise downtime and maintain high workmanship standards, safety, and housekeeping.

Qualifications

• Experience in mechanical maintenance, fault finding, and repair on production equipment.
• Hands-on approach to fault diagnosis and problem solving.
• Ability to work within a maintenance team and with production staff.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive mechanical maintenance on production equipment.
• Diagnose faults and carry out repairs to minimise downtime.
• Respond promptly to breakdowns across production lines.
• Install and replace mechanical components such as drives, motors, valves and pumps.
• Complete planned maintenance inspections and flag potential faults.
