Job summary

Network Rail in the United Kingdom is looking for a Rostering Officer responsible for compiling, maintaining and publishing accurate employee rosters using the Corporate Rostering Tool, ensuring compliance with national rostering principles and company policies.

You will manage daily and weekly rosters, coordinate cover for absences, support payroll checks, monitor fatigue data, and provide data for reporting to support safe and efficient operations.

Qualifications

• Excellent knowledge of national rostering principles.
• Experience prioritising workloads and meeting deadlines.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Experience analysing data and producing reports.
• Understanding of conditions of service for rostering.
• Understanding of roster systems.
• Ability to manage data accurately with attention to detail.
• Experience working in a team and engaging with virtual team members.
• Good general IT skills.

Responsibilities

• Compile, maintain and publish accurate employee rosters using the Corporate Rostering Tool.
• Coordinate cover for sickness, annual leave, training, medicals and interviews; validate roster data with local managers.
• Oversee leave records, support annual leave planning and ensure safety-critical competencies are built into rosters.
