Job summary

NHS Scotland’s North Region Resource Planning Department is seeking an enthusiastic administrator to plan and maintain staff rosters, coordinating shifts for the Scottish Ambulance Service across the region. The role emphasises accuracy, confidentiality and timely reporting to support operational delivery.

The ideal candidate will be computer literate with strong Excel skills, able to balance priorities and work independently in a blended home/office setting.

Qualifications

• Experience in Resource Planning or Scheduling is advantageous.
• Strong understanding of data protection requirements.
• Able to work independently with a methodical approach and high attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Plan and maintain staff rosters for the region.
• Allocate shifts to operational personnel and maximise relief staff use.
• Produce and communicate timely roster information to support operational decisions.
