Job summary

Chewton Glen's The Kitchen restaurant in the New Forest region is seeking a Commis Chef to support the Head Chef and Chef de Partie in delivering dishes to a high standard in an open-plan kitchen.

You will work as part of a small brigade, take pride in presentation, taste and quality, and contribute to maintaining cleanliness and consistency across all sections, with rosette experience valued.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a hotel or restaurant kitchen is essential.
• Experience working to a rosette standard would be desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist Head Chef during service to ensure dishes are prepared to the highest standards.
• Work with the brigade running your section with pride.
• Be part of the team feeding guests in our open plan kitchen.
• Liaise with the Head Chef regarding possible improvements on dishes and service.
• Ensure presentation, taste, texture and quality are maintained at all times.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout your section and the kitchen as a whole.
