V.Group is seeking an experienced 1st Engineer to join Balearia HSC RoPax ferries for a 2 months on/2 months off rotation. The role requires a seasoned professional with STCW95, CoC A-III/2 and extensive experience on passenger ships, preferably with Wartsila engines.

English fluency and shipboard safety leadership are essential. You will oversee engine room watch, supervise engineers, and coordinate maintenance and safety procedures under the Chief Engineer.

Qualificações

• Valid STCW95 certification.
• Valid CoC A-III/2.
• Appropriate certification as required by regulations.
• Extensive experience on passenger ships in a similar role; Wartsila engine experience preferred.
• Physically and medically fit.
• Public Health, Sanitation and Environmental training appreciated.
• Proficient reading of technical drawings and manuals.

Responsabilidades

• Act as Chief Engineer's representative during Engine Room watch and supervise on-watch team.
• Operate and maintain Main and Auxiliary engines; execute maintenance and repairs in Engine Room.
• Ensure seaworthiness of the vessel's engine spaces and manage spare parts stock.
• Coordinate with other departments and manage safety, logs and compliance requirements.
• Lead training and development of subordinates and enforce ISM/MLC compliance.
