Job summary

BALEARIA RoRo Passenger ferries seeks an experienced Able Seaman (AB) to join the deck team aboard RoRo passenger vessels. Embarkation is ASAP and contract duration is 4 months ± 1 month. Key duties include exterior vessel maintenance, assisting deck operations, and safety compliance under the direction of the Chief Officer and Bosun.

Candidates must hold STCW95 and Ro/Pax-specific certifications. Fluent English is required; lashing experience is advantageous, and physical fitness is essential

Qualifications

• Proven experience as AB on RoRo Passenger vessels.
• Lashing experience is a strong advantage.
• STCW95 certification is mandatory.
• Ro/Pax certification per STCW V/2 required.
• Coast Guard / Port State Control experience is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Executes general maintenance, repair, sanitation and upkeep of exterior deck areas and equipment.
• Assists with deck operations during vessel arrival and departure, loading and unloading tasks.
• Participates in safety drills and ensures PPE and safety devices are used correctly.
• Maintains knowledge of lifesaving equipment and participates in tender/zy zodiac operations as instructed.
