Job summary

Celtic Manor Resort in Newport is seeking a Room Technician to join Maintenance. You will support bedrooms and facilities, carry out maintenance tasks and repairs, and ensure guest areas remain safe, well-presented and fully operational.

The ideal candidate has a relevant maintenance qualification, at least three years' experience in hospitality or similar, can use hand and power tools, communicates well with guests and colleagues, has basic IT skills, and holds a valid UK driving licence and

Qualifications

• A relevant maintenance qualification (electrical, plumbing or related discipline).
• At least three years' maintenance experience in a commercial, hospitality or similar environment.
• Experience using hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Good communication skills and the confidence to interact with guests and colleagues.
• Basic IT skills and experience completing maintenance records and reports.

Responsibilities

• Carry out maintenance and repair work across resort bedrooms and facilities.
• Diagnose and resolve faults relating to electrical systems, plumbing, heating, air conditioning and bedroom fixtures and fittings.
• Maintain room lock systems, safes, televisions and other guest-room equipment.
• Support the safe operation of resort systems including fire alarms, lifts and building management systems.
• Complete maintenance reports and accurate job records.
• Participate in equipment checks, audits and preventative maintenance programmes.
• Ensure all work is completed in line with health and safety requirements.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and help deliver an exceptional guest experience throughout the resort.
