Job summary

The Celtic Collection is seeking a Room Technician at the Celtic Manor Resort in Newport. This permanent role supports maintenance across bedrooms and facilities, delivering high standards for guests and colleagues.

You will perform a variety of tasks, repairs and preventative work to ensure safety, presentation and full operability of accommodation and public areas. Ideal candidates will have a relevant maintenance qualification, 3+ years' hospitality maintenance experience, strong tool skills,

Qualifications

• A relevant maintenance qualification (electrical, plumbing, or related discipline).
• At least three years' maintenance experience in hospitality or similar environment.
• Experience using hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Good communication skills and the confidence to interact professionally with guests and colleagues.
• Basic IT skills and experience completing maintenance records and reports.
• A proactive approach to problem solving and maintaining high standards.
• A full UK driving licence.
• The physical capability to undertake a hands-on role and respond to operational requirements across the resort.

Responsibilities

• Carry out maintenance and repair work across resort bedrooms and facilities.
• Diagnose and resolve faults relating to electrical systems, plumbing, heating, air conditioning and bedroom fixtures and fittings.
• Maintain room lock systems, safes, televisions and other guest-room equipment.
• Support the safe operation of resort systems including fire alarms, lifts and building management systems.
• Complete maintenance reports and accurate job records.
• Participate in equipment checks, audits and preventative maintenance programmes.
• Ensure all work is completed in line with health and safety requirements.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and help deliver an exceptional guest experience throughout the resort.
