Job summary

Blagrave Nursery School in Reading is seeking a full-time Room Leader to join our friendly, supportive team. You will lead day-to-day room management, mentor staff, and promote children's learning through high-quality EYFS practice.

The role requires building strong partnerships with parents and external professionals to support development. The position is 36.75 hours per week, term-time only including INSET days, with a start date in October 2026.

Qualifications

• Experience leading an EYFS room and staff.
• Knowledge of EYFS principles and safeguarding.
• Ability to mentor and train staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead the effective day-to-day management of the room, ensuring high standards, compliance and resource management
• Support the development and performance of staff through mentoring, guidance and training opportunities
• Promote children’s learning, progress and wellbeing through quality EYFS practise, observation, and inclusive support
• Build strong partnerships with parents, carers, and external professionals to enhance children’s development and engagement
