Job summary

Blagrave Nursery School in Reading is seeking a dedicated room leader to join a friendly team. The role is part-time (36.75 hours per week) and term-time only, with INSET days, start date October 2026.

You will lead day-to-day room management, support staff development, promote high-quality EYFS practice, and build strong partnerships with parents and external professionals to enhance children's development.

Responsibilities

• Lead the effective day-to-day management of the room, ensuring high standards, compliance and resource management
• Support the development and performance of staff through mentoring, guidance and training opportunities
• Promote children’s learning, progress and wellbeing through quality EYFS practise, observation, and inclusive support
• Build strong partnerships with parents, carers, and external professionals to enhance children’s development and engagement
