Job summary

Kido Reading Nursery & Preschool in Reading is seeking a Nursery Room Leader to guide daily activities, lead a dedicated team, and uphold high standards of care and education for every child.

The role requires a Level 3 childcare qualification and management experience in Early Years, with Level 2 Maths/English if needed. Salary is £28,000–£33,000, 40 hours per week, and sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• Level 3 childcare qualification and management experience in Early Years.
• Level 2 Maths and English including functional skills if Level 3 obtained after 2014.
• Sponsorship not available for this role.

Responsibilities

• Lead your team with the smooth running of day-to-day activities and communicate information to staff and parents.
• Be a positive role model by inspiring outstanding teaching and learning every day.
• Lead performance reviews with supportive feedback, setting SMART goals and encouraging growth.
• Work closely with the Designated Safeguarding Lead to prioritise child welfare and safety.
• Lead an ambitious curriculum for your room to achieve outstanding education delivery.
• Ensure the key person approach is embedded with a buddy key person for each child.
• Pursue continued professional development and encourage your team to do so.
