Job summary

YMCA Black Country Group is seeking a Full-Time Room Leader to join our toddler room (2-3 years) at Carters Green Day Nursery in West Bromwich. You will provide a warm, welcoming environment where children and families feel valued and supported, and you will lead daily practice within the room alongside the Childcare Manager.

You will work as part of the Nursery Senior Team to model high standards of care and education, ensure safeguarding is upheld, and contribute to ongoing CPD and career

Qualifications

• Provide caring, high-quality education for children birth to 5 years.
• Lead daily practice in toddler room and model best practices.
• Safeguarding duties including enhanced DBS checks and references.

Responsibilities

• Lead the toddler room (2-3 years) on a day-to-day basis and support the Nursery Manager.
• Create a warm, welcoming environment for children and families.
• Support continuous professional development and adherence to safeguarding policies.

Job description

Full-Time Room Leader to complete a job share within our toddler room (2-3years) based at the YMCA BCG Carters Green Day Nursery in West Bromwich. You will help to provide a warm and welcoming environment within the Nursery where young children and their families can feel valued and obtain positive help and support.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Providing and maintaining high quality education and care for children from birth to 5 years.
• Providing a warm and welcoming environment within the Nursery where young children and their families can feel valued and obtain positive help and support.
• Being part of the Nursery Senior Team you will provide leadership within the room on a daily basis. Setting a positive example to childcare practitioners, and working closely with the Childcare Manager and Senior Nursery Manager to ensure good practice.
