Job summary

Bright Horizons Grove Lodge Day Nursery and Pre School in Burgess Hill is seeking a Room Leader on a fixed-term contract ending January 2027. The starting salary is £29,613 per annum, depending on qualification and experience, with a strong focus on child welfare and safeguarding.

You will lead a dedicated team to deliver high-quality care and education, ensuring EYFS demands are met while building trusted partnerships with families and professionals.

Qualifications

• Full and relevant Level 3 or above Early Years qualification.
• Experience in Early Years settings, preferably as Room Leader or similar.
• Passion for inclusive learning environments.
• Strong EYFS knowledge.
• Safeguarding and child protection knowledge.
• Ability to build trust with colleagues and parents.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, support, and inspire a team to deliver exceptional care and education.
• Promote child welfare, health and safety and safeguarding.
• Maintain strong partnerships with colleagues, parents and other professionals to meet each child’s needs.
• Ensure room compliance with EYFS requirements and safeguarding policies.
