Job summary

Bovey Castle in Devon is seeking a Room Attendant to maintain exceptional cleanliness and guest room presentation. The role includes making beds, turning down rooms and ensuring small hotel touches enhance the guest experience.

Training is provided; experience is desirable but not required. The position supports a live-in or nearby residence option, with part- or full-time contracts depending on needs.

  • Guest interaction requires a welcoming smile and conversational English.
  • Role is demanding but rewarding and requires a level of fitness to complete tasks.
  • Previous experience in a similar role is desirable, with full training provided on chemicals, cleanliness and equipment.
  • You will be a good team player with an enthusiastic approach to exceeding guests’ expectations.

We offer minimum37.5-hour per week employment contracts,but we understand that everyone’s needs are different. That’s why we’re happy to discuss part-time contracts to fit around your individual schedule.

What We Offer:

  • Full-time (37.5 hours per week) or Part-time Contracts tailored to your lifestyle.
  • Overtime Pay – you’ll be paid for every hour worked beyond your contracted hours.
What you’ll be doing?

As a Room Attendant, you will be a vital cog in our team and vital to our overall guest experience. This role is perfect for those that take a real pride in their work, love cleaning and want a role that allows time to focus on the little touches. Our turn down service is offered to enhance the guest experience and where you will prepare their room for the evening including leaving any hotel specific touches such as camomile tea and a cookie, turning down the bed, and adding soft lighting.

What you’ll need?
  • To be committed to deliver exceptional cleanliness within hotel bedrooms and public areas;
  • You may be interacting with our guests so a welcoming smile is essential as is conversational English;
  • Being a Room Attendant is hard but rewarding work, and will require a level of fitness in order to complete this vital role;
