Job summary

PPM Recruitment seeks an experienced Roofing Surveyor to join its expanding team in the North West. Based in Birkenhead, the role involves conducting on-site surveys, producing detailed reports and specifications, and ensuring compliance with BS regulations. The position offers a permanent, full-time career with overtime opportunities.

The ideal candidate will have proven roofing/construction experience, social housing exposure, and strong IT and reporting skills. A company vehicle is provided.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in roofing and/or construction.
• Experience working within social housing environments.
• Good understanding of KPIs, SORs, and work-in-progress (WIP) management.
• Knowledge of slate, tile, and flat roofing systems.
• Competent IT skills, including Word processing and job management software.
• Strong organisational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Carry out on-site surveys and provide professional technical advice.
• Produce detailed survey reports, designs, and specifications to company standards.
• Support site operatives and resolve technical and workmanship issues.
• Assist with complaint investigations and contractor assessments.
• Ensure all works comply with British Standards and current building regulations.
• Prepare specifications, safety plans, method statements, and risk assessments.
