Job summary

SER Limited is seeking a technically minded Technical Surveyor to join our growing team in Clitheroe. You will survey roofs and building envelopes, translate data into designs, and coordinate with suppliers and the draughtsman to ensure accurate drawings and schedules for delivery.

The role blends site and office work, requires travel nationwide, and offers a competitive salary with a company car/allowance, bonus, and benefits.

Qualifications

Experience in surveying/technical/design roles within metal roofing or building envelope sectors.
Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
Knowledge of profiled sheeting, standing seam, secret-fix or composite panels.
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationally.

Responsibilities

Carry out detailed roof and building envelope surveys.
Take measurements and produce survey notes and sketches.
Translate survey data into technical designs, layouts and material schedules.
Collaborate with the Draughtsman to review construction drawings.
Select appropriate roofing/cladding systems and components.
Produce accurate materials schedules and support procurement.
Resolve technical queries with manufacturers, suppliers and clients.
Provide technical support to site teams throughout installation.
Manage multiple projects and ensure drawings, materials and information are delivered on time.
