Job summary

Building Careers UK Ltd is recruiting an experienced Quantity Surveyor to lead the commercial management of roofing, cladding and render contracts in the Wigan area. You will work with project teams to control costs, manage valuations and ensure final accounts are accurate.

The role requires proven ability in external envelope works, strong cost-control and proactive negotiation with subcontractors, suppliers and clients.

Qualifications

• Experience managing roofing, cladding or façade projects is essential.
• Strong knowledge of render and cladding systems is required.
• Solid understanding of external wall assemblies and materials.

Responsibilities

• Manage commercial and financial aspects of roofing, cladding and render projects.
• Prepare budgets, cost reports and forecasts.
• Handle subcontractor procurement, tenders and package reviews.
• Submit interim valuations and payments; assess valuations and notices.
• Value completed works against drawings and contractual requirements.
• Monitor costs, variations and change control to protect margins.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, suppliers and internal teams.
• Drive projects to successful delivery on time and within budget.
