Job summary

Cornerstone Project Source is seeking a permanent Quantity Surveyor in Essex to join the Commercial team. You will manage all commercial and financial aspects of projects, coordinating with Design and Procurement to deliver on time and within budget.

The role is ideal for an experienced QS aiming to progress in roofing and cladding, with a start date ASAP and a salary up to £65,000 per annum. A strong emphasis on cost control, risk management and client liaison is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years' Quantity Surveying experience.
• Experience in façade/external envelope or flat roofing is desirable.
• Degree qualification (2:1 or above).
• Full driving licence.
• Understanding of construction sub-contracts (NEC3) is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Organise and prepare payment applications, variations and related documentation.
• Produce cost reports, reconciliations and forecasts.
• Track monthly payment figures and warn departments of budget constraints.
• Issue Early Warning Notices and Extension of Time requests as needed.
• Review labour progress against site progress; maintain records for payments.
• Submit timely contract submissions to maximise profit and cash flow.
• Identify risks and propose mitigations to protect the company.
