Job summary

Interaction Recruitment Group is seeking a Roofing & Cladding Estimator in Northampton to lead tendering for high-value roofing and cladding projects across commercial and industrial sectors. The role emphasizes accurate cost estimation, supplier liaison, and timely tender submissions.

The ideal candidate will have proven estimator experience in roofing and cladding, strong drawings interpretation skills, and a proactive approach to value engineering and risk assessment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Estimator in roofing and cladding
• Strong understanding of roofing systems and cladding products
• Able to read and interpret technical drawings and specs
• Experience producing detailed cost estimates and tenders
• Excellent commercial awareness and attention to detail
• Strong negotiation and communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and estimating software

Responsibilities

• Review drawings, specifications, and tender documentation
• Prepare detailed cost estimates and take-offs for roofing and cladding projects
• Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors
• Produce accurate tender submissions within required timescales
• Identify risks, opportunities, and value engineering options
• Liaise with clients, architects, contractors, and internal teams
• Support contract handovers to project delivery teams
• Maintain strong supplier and subcontractor relationships
• Monitor market trends and material pricing to ensure competitive quotations
