Job summary

Interaction Recruitment is seeking a Roofing & Cladding Estimator for a Northampton-based role. You will produce accurate tenders and cost estimates for high-value roofing and cladding projects across commercial and industrial sectors.

The role requires reviewing drawings, liaising with clients and suppliers, and delivering competitive submissions on time. Extensive roofing and cladding experience is essential, with a driving licence preferred.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Estimator within the roofing and cladding industry.
• Strong understanding of roofing systems, rainscreen cladding, composite panels, and associated products.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Experience producing detailed cost estimates and tenders.
• Excellent commercial awareness and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing drawings, specifications, and tender documentation.
• Preparing detailed cost estimates and take-offs for roofing and cladding projects.
• Obtaining and evaluating quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Producing accurate tender submissions within required timescales.
• Identifying potential risks, opportunities, and value engineering options.
• Liaising with clients, architects, contractors, and internal project teams.
• Supporting contract handovers to project delivery teams upon successful award.
• Maintaining strong supplier and subcontractor relationships.
• Monitoring market trends and material pricing to ensure competitive quotations.

Hours of Work: Some flexibility available
Mon-Fri: 07:00-16:00 / 08:00-17:00 / 09:00-18:00

Salary: £45,000-£65,000 DOE

Interaction Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Roofing & Cladding Estimator to join a growing and well-established business based in Northampton. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced estimator looking to play a key role in securing and delivering high-value roofing and cladding projects across the commercial and industrial sectors.

PLEASE NOTE: ROOFING AND CLADDING EXPERIENCE IS ESSENTIAL FOR THIS POSITION.

What You'll Do

As a Roofing & Cladding Estimator, you will be responsible for producing accurate and competitive tenders while supporting the commercial success of the business.

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience as an Estimator within the roofing and cladding industry
• Strong understanding of roofing systems, rainscreen cladding, composite panels, and associated products
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Experience producing detailed cost estimates and tenders
• Excellent commercial awareness and attention to detail
• Strong negotiation and communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and estimating software
• Ability to manage multiple tenders and deadlines simultaneously
• Full UK driving licence preferred
