Job summary

Mears Group PLC is recruiting a Roofer for Caerphilly, Wales, on a fixed term full-time contract (40 hours per week, 8:00-16:30). The role offers an annual salary up to £33,436.50 plus a company van and fuel card as part of the package.

As part of Celtic Horizons, you will carry out roofing repairs and installations across occupied and void properties, ensuring health and safety standards, accurate record keeping, and collaboration with on-site supervisors.

Qualifications

• Experience in roofing trade environment and repairs.
• UK driving license is required.
• Knowledge of additional trades is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• General roofing repairs across occupied and void properties and other facilities.
• Replace roof tiles, felt roofing and battens; install/repair flat roofs.
• Lead work on flashings, soakers, and valley gutters; ridge/hip tiles repairs.
• Guttering, fascia, soffit installations; roof insulation and vents.
• Record materials used and time spent; liaise with site supervisors; support maintenance programs.
