Job summary

Novus Property Solutions is seeking an experienced Roofer for responsive repairs across social housing properties. You will handle domestic roofing tasks such as tile replacements, fascia/soffit repairs, and flat roof refelting, on live sites within a reasonable radius.

A valid UK driving licence is required, and prior experience in a live environment is beneficial. You will work Monday to Friday, typically 39 hours, with a supportive planning team ensuring efficient scheduling and travel time.

Qualifications

• Roofer with experience of domestic roofing and repairs including tiles, fascia/soffit and rain water goods, chimney and flat roof refelting.
• Experience working in a live environment is beneficial.
• Breathable system knowledge with BS standards experience is advantageous.
• Full UK Driving Licence is required.

Responsibilities

• Work from job tickets or handheld device daily to deliver responsive repairs.
• Collaborate with other trades and site/contract teams while managing own time efficiently.
• Follow Novus Health and Safety policies and standards at all times.
• Maintain up-to-date and accurate systems for job records and scheduling.

Summary

Location: Site based around Salisbury/Warminster and approximately a 60 minute radius - typically working Monday to Friday 39 hours

As a Roofer for Novus Property Solutions, you’ll work with a great team, who support each other and work together to deliver a great service for our customers. Ideally possessing a background and qualification in Roofing, working within Social Housing tenanted properties on traditional roofs, and shared accommodation complexes.

An outline of your responsibilities and experience

Roofer with experience of working on all aspects of domestic roofing and related repairs including: Roof tile replacements, fascia/soffit and rain water goods repairs/replacements, chimney and valley repairs and flat roof refelting

Previous experience working in a live environment would be beneficial

Breathable system compliant with current fixings meeting British standard specifications and competent roofer beneficial but not essential

Working from job tickets or a handheld device daily

Working in co-operation with other trades/occupations as well as the site or contract team, whilst managing own time effectively

Following Novus’ exemplary Health and Safety policies and standards

Manage Systems to ensure they are up to date and accurate

Candidates will also require Working at Height, Asbestos Awareness and Manual Handling training. Where these certifications have expired, refresher training can be provided by Novus.

Knowledge of current roofing standards, including BS 5534 and BS 8000

Knowledge and qualifications in; NVQ Level 3 Roofing Occupations or Competent Roofer Scheme experience preferred

Manufacturer-approved roofing system training (e.g., Bauder, IKO, Sika, Marley, Redland).

PASMA, IPAF and Solar PV experience are all advantageous

Full UK Driving Licence is required

This role will require a DBS check
