Job summary

Your Housing Group is recruiting a Roofer to join our Repairs and Maintenance Division. You will deliver high-quality roofing repairs across our properties, based in Preston with travel within the region as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction or housing maintenance.
• Full UK Driving License (ideally no more than 6 points).
• Ability to complete slate, tile, stone, ridge, verge and lead repairs to a high standard (EDPM rubber roofing/flat roof experience desirable).
• Basic health and safety knowledge in a repairs environment.
• Collaborative team player with a customer-focused approach.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Roofer to join Your Housing Groups Repairs and Maintenance Division and provide a high-quality Roofing repairs service to our customers. What will my working week look like? You will live within your regional area of work in Preston and ideally be based within a reasonable travelling distance of our Head Office in Birchwood, Warrington to attend meetings and training courses when needed. What will I be responsible for doing? As a member of our reactive maintenance and repairs team, you will carry out roofing maintenance on both major and minor construction works, for a number of empty homes and tenanted properties owned by Your Housing Group. You will be confident and capable, ensuring all work undertaken is completed with due regard for quality, productivity, and safety. Our organisation is all about people, especially the people who live in our homes and the communities that we serve and deliver excellent customer service too, so ideally you will be personable, professional, and able to understand the differing needs of the customers in our communities, tailoring your approach to meet that requirement to deliver a bespoke service.

• Experience in construction or housing maintenance

• The ability and experience in the completion of all slate, tile, stone, ridge, verge and lead repair work to a high standard (EDPM Rubber Roofing/flat roof experience is desirable)
• Basic health and safety knowledge in a repair's environment

• Salary £32,319.00 plus Van & Fuel card, increasing to £33,547.12 following successful probation
