Job summary

ARV Solutions Contracts is seeking a Roof Truss Designer in Birmingham to support detailed timber roof truss solutions. The role requires producing accurate, buildable designs that meet client requirements and UK regulations.

You will use CAD software to create technical drawings, liaise with internal teams and customers, and assist in estimating through material take-offs and cost inputs. The ideal candidate has around three years' experience in roof truss design and a good grasp of timber

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years' experience in roof truss design.
Proficiency in CAD software for technical drawing.
Strong understanding of timber engineering principles and roof structures.
Familiarity with UK building regulations relating to structural design.

Responsibilities

Produce detailed roof truss designs in line with customer specifications and building regulations.
Use CAD software to create accurate technical drawings and layouts.
Liaise with internal teams and external customers to clarify design requirements.
Support the estimating process by preparing material take-offs and cost inputs.
Ensure designs are structurally sound, efficient and cost-effective.
Review project specifications, drawings and architectural plans.
Maintain accurate design records and documentation.
Assist with revisions and amendments based on feedback or site requirements.
