Job summary

TXM Recruit is seeking a Welder Fabricator for a permanent or contract position based at Wolverton, Milton Keynes. The role involves welding and fabricating train components within the corrosion team, reading blueprints, and performing TIG, MIG and arc welding as required.

Shifts include early and night options, with overtime opportunities. The ideal candidate will have welding qualifications (NVQ Level 2 or equivalent) and strong attention to detail, safety, and quality in a rail environment.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in welding or equivalent is required/preferred.
• Experience with welding and metal fabrication.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Welding and fabrication of train components in the corrosion team.
• Repair and maintenance of underframes, bogie frames, roof and side panels, suspensions and brake housings.
• Read blueprints and work to technical drawings and specifications.
