Job summary

TXM Recruit is seeking skilled Welders/Fabricators for an engineering company in Milton Keynes. The role involves MIG welding and fabrication on rail and rolling stock assets, with the ability to read blueprints and interpret specifications.

You will perform MIG welding as essential, with TIG/Stick/Arc as desirable, and ensure weld quality through inspection and testing. The position is Monday to Friday days, 40 hours per week with overtime opportunities and enhanced pay after 40 hours.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Carry out MIG welding and fabrication on rail assets.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and specifications.
• Weld using MIG (essential); TIG/Stick/Arc desirable.
• Cut, shape and assemble metal components to precise dimensions.
• Inspect welded joints and structures for quality and adherence to specs.
• Identify and repair defects in welds.
• Conduct tests to ensure strength of finished products.
