Job summary

TXM Recruit is seeking a Rolling Stock Trainer / Engineering Training Assessor in Derby. You will assess employees' technical knowledge and practical competence against rail industry standards, providing feedback to help learners achieve qualifications and maintain compliance.

Qualifications

• Engineering qualification to minimum level 3.
• Rolling stock experience or similar industry (HGV, avionics REME, Navy).
• Training delivery experience preferred.
• Commitment to continuous personal development.
• Willingness to undertake assessor qualifications if needed.

Responsibilities

• Assess employees' technical knowledge and practical competence against rail standards.
• Provide feedback and support to help learners achieve qualifications.
• Maintain training records and management systems.
• Identify skills gaps and develop training plans.
• Develop and update training materials and assessment processes.
• Support operations to maintain workforce competence, safety and compliance.
• Ensure assessment and QA processes are audit-ready.
