Job summary

TXM Recruit is seeking a Rolling Stock Trainer / Engineering Training Assessor based in Derby. The role involves delivering training, assessing technical knowledge and ensuring competency against rail industry standards on a 40-hour week, Monday to Friday, days.

A salary of £41,700 per annum is offered. Candidates with ex-forces engineering backgrounds or experienced rolling stock technicians who wish to transition into training are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 3 engineering qualification.
• Rolling stock experience is desirable.
• Training delivery experience is desirable.
• Willingness to undertake assessor qualifications if not already held.
• Proven commitment to continuous development.

Responsibilities

• Assess employees’ technical knowledge and practical competence against rail standards.
• Provide feedback and guidance to learners to help achieve qualifications and competency levels.
• Maintain training and competency records and management systems.
• Identify skills gaps and work with managers to develop training plans.
• Develop, review and update training materials and assessment processes.
• Support operational teams in maintaining workforce competence, safety and compliance.
• Ensure assessment and QA processes are consistent, audit-ready.

Rolling Stock Trainer / Engineering Training Assessor

Are you Ex forces with training delivery experience? Maybe you’re a personable Technician looking to pass on your knowledge?

We are Currently seeking a Training and competency / Rolling stock trainer to join a key engineering client based in Derby.

As a Trainer, you will be working Monday to Friday on a standard 40 Hour working week on Days. In return you will be offered a competitive Salary of £41,700pa

Key Responsibilities (including but not exhaustive)

• Assess employees’ technical knowledge and practical competence against relevant rail industry standards.
• Provide feedback, guidance and support to learners to help them achieve required qualifications and competency levels.
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date training and competency records and management systems.
• Identify skills gaps and work with managers to develop appropriate training and competency plans.
• Develop, review and update training materials and assessment processes in line with changing rail industry standards.
• Support operational teams in maintaining workforce competence, safety and compliance.
• Ensure assessment and quality assurance processes are consistent, effective and audit-ready.

Those from any ex forces engineering backgrounds with training delivery or existing Rolling stock technicians and similar industries (maintenance experienced) looking to move in a different direction will be considered

Requirements:

• Engineering Qualified to a minimum level 3
• Rolling stock experience is desirable or another similar industry (HGV, heavy mechanical, Avionics REME, Navy Marine etc)
• Training delivery experience is desirable
• Proven commitment to continuous personal development
• Good attitude
• Willingness to undertake Assessor qualifications if not already held
