Job summary

Rail Delivery Group seeks a Rolling Stock Engineer and REGS Advisor to support TOCs and the wider rail industry. You will provide technical expertise across fleet engineering, performance, maintenance and interfaces, plus lead REGS initiatives to develop graduate engineers.

You will coordinate industry working groups, drive best practice, and engage with operators, suppliers and regulators to shape the future of Britain's railway.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent professional qualification required.
• Incorporated or Chartered Engineer with broad railway engineering knowledge.
• Experience as mentoring, training advisor or scheme coordinator.
• Familiarity with MPDS and UK-SPEC.
• Knowledge of engineering competence development and professional registration requirements.
• Experience in rolling stock, fleet engineering, maintenance or railway operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support rolling stock engineering projects for TOCs and industry.
• Provide technical engineering expertise on rolling stock, fleet performance and interfaces.
• Lead industry meetings and workshops to deliver projects.
• Develop and implement industry standards and best practice.
