Job summary

Advanced Resource Managers Ltd is seeking a Multi-Disciplinary Rolling Stock Project Engineer to help oversee heavy overhaul projects in a safety-critical environment. You will lead engineering activities, coordinate resources and ensure compliance with railway standards across documentation, testing and operations.

The role requires a degree in engineering, Chartered Engineer status, and hands-on experience with rolling stock systems, risk management and project lifecycles.

Qualifications

• Experience with Rail Vehicle Systems and rolling stock engineering.
• Experience in a rail environment, safety-critical preferred.
• Ability to produce, review and analyse technical documentation.
• Knowledge of Railway Standards and system design practices.
• Experience with testing, manufacturing or operation of rolling stock.
• Understanding maintenance and overhaul requirements.
• Familiarity with risk management and project lifecycle processes.
• Strong stakeholder communication and mentoring skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office; MS Project and Power BI beneficial.

Rolling Stock Project Engineer - Multi Discipline

Location: Central London
Rate: £500 per day (umbrella)
Contract: 6 months, with potential extension
Start: ASAP

We are currently recruiting for a Multi-Disciplinary Rolling Stock Project Engineer to join a Fleet Heavy Overhaul team, providing engineering support across the delivery of safe, compliant and assured rolling stock overhaul projects.

The successful candidate will lead and support a range of engineering activities, working closely with internal and external stakeholders and coordinating engineering resources where required.

• Lead and support rolling stock engineering activities across overhaul projects.

Essential Experience & Knowledge

• Experience with Rail Vehicle Systems / Rolling Stock Engineering.
• Experience within rail, ideally London Underground or a similarly complex, safety-critical environment.
• Experience producing, reviewing and analysing technical documentation.
• Knowledge and application of relevant Railway Standards.
• Experience with rolling stock system design, testing, manufacturing and/or operation.
• Understanding of maintenance and overhaul requirements.
• Knowledge of risk management and engineering project lifecycle processes.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience mentoring or supporting junior engineers.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office; MS Project and Power BI would be advantageous.

Qualifications

• Engineering Degree or equivalent engineering qualifications/experience.
• Chartered Engineer status or equivalent.
