Job summary

Redline Group Ltd is seeking an experienced Robotics Software Engineer (C#) based in Hertfordshire to join a growing team working on autonomous harvesting robots. You will develop software across usability, speed, accuracy and system calibration while testing on robotic hardware and validating features in production environments.

The role requires several years of commercial software experience, strong C#/.NET skills, and hands-on robotics hardware testing experience. Python is a bonus.

Qualifications

• Several years of commercial software engineering experience.
• Strong programming skills in C#, .NET or other C-family languages.
• Experience within a robotics environment is essential.
• Experience working with hardware and testing software on physical systems.
• A methodical, evidence-driven approach to problem solving, drawing upon multiple sources of data to identify root causes.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
• Python experience would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance software capabilities across usability, speed, accuracy and system calibration.
• Analyse logs, user feedback, observations and experimental data to identify software improvements and diagnose issues.
• Investigate and resolve complex bugs using an evidence-based and data-driven approach.
• Test and validate your own software directly on robotic machines, working hands-on with hardware.
• Collaborate closely with Product and Engineering teams to prioritise and deliver new features and enhancements.
• Ensure software changes are robust, well-tested and suitable for deployment in production environments.
