Job summary

Shadow Robot Company in London is seeking an experienced Mechatronics Test Technician/Engineer with at least 3 years in a technical role. This role is based 100% in the Product Dev Team at Gospel Oak, London HQ (2 mins from the London Overground).

You will build and test robotic components, assemble parts, run tests, and document results to help engineers develop robot systems. Salary ranges £45,000–£50,000 depending on experience, ASAP start.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Test Technician in an engineering or R&D team developing new technology.
• Experience with testing and debugging electronics.
• Competence in soldering small wires and electronic components.
• Experience setting up and running tests on electro‑mechanical systems.
• Accurately recording and analysing data.
• Able to assemble prototype electro‑mechanical systems.
• Able to write clear documentation for tests and processes.

• Enable us to capture and prevent issues in robots we develop.
• Assembling robots and contributing to documentation
• Working with the team to devise test plans for new components and systems.
• Running tests on components and systems we design.
