Job summary

Proactive Global is recruiting a Junior/Trainee Technician to join a fast-growing engineering company in the UK. You will support electrical and electro-mechanical assembly, testing and installation under guidance from senior engineers.

The role offers full training, exposure to robotics, automation, AI and machine vision, and occasional travel across the UK and Europe. Based at East London with site responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Some practical, technical or engineering experience is desirable, but full training will be provided for the right candidate.
• Basic understanding of electrical or mechanical principles would be advantageous.
• Willing to travel occasionally and live within commuting distance of East London.

Responsibilities

• Support the electrical assembly, wiring and functional testing of products in the workshop and, following training, at customer sites.
• Assist with the assembly, testing and installation of electro-mechanical systems to engineering specifications.
• Build, inspect and test mechanical and electrical sub-assemblies under the guidance of experienced team members.
• Follow assembly instructions, technical drawings and engineering documentation.
• Learn to route and terminate electrical wiring, cabling, pneumatic tubing and conduit.
