Job summary

Bristol Industrial is seeking an Automation Technician (Mechatronics) to join their on-site engineering team in the UK. You will develop and release robot programs for automated cells, design tooling, and contribute to reducing downtime across manufacturing assets.

The role offers hands-on CAD/CAM exposure with training provided, and opportunities to work on advanced automation projects and integration support.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a HNC or equivalent in an Engineering discipline.
• Good understanding of tooling, fixture design and manufacturing processes.
• Proficient in CAD with the ability to read engineering drawings.
• Development role with training provided; experience in listed areas is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Create, verify and release robot programs for automated cells.
• Provide critical help chain for manufacturing to reduce downtime of critical equipment.
• Create, verify and release programs for other programmable manufacturing equipment; design tooling and fixtures.
• Create supporting documentation for automated equipment.
• Support implementation of new advanced manufacturing equipment and automation.
