Job summary

Meridian Business Support is seeking an Automation Technician (Mechatronics) to join our engineering development team. This role focuses on creating, verifying and releasing robot programs for automated cells and supporting new manufacturing equipment.

The ideal candidate will have an HNC or equivalent in engineering, CAD skills, and hands-on experience with robot programming, CMM/CNC processes, and tooling design. The position offers progression and a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

Experience or an HNC, or higher, in engineering will be considered.
Knowledge of tooling, fixture design and manufacturing processes is important.
Robot programming experience is valuable and CAD reading is expected.

Responsibilities

Create, verify and release robot programs for automated cells.
Provide critical help chain for manufacturing to reduce downtime of critical equipment.
Create, verify and release programs for other programmable manufacturing equipment.
Design and deliver tooling and fixtures for manufacturing processes.
Create supporting documentation for automated equipment.
Support implementation of new advanced manufacturing equipment and automation.
