The Yorkshire Robotics Adoption Hub, led by the University of Bradford, is a 42‑month Innovate UK‑funded programme. As a Business Development Manager, you will identify Yorkshire manufacturers for robotics adoption, guide them from first contact to installation, and collaborate with engineers and university specialists to produce investment-ready plans.

You will help connect businesses with suppliers and funding, build partnerships with regional bodies, and deliver events and site visits to

Qualifications

• Proven track record in business development or technical sales with manufacturers, including SMEs.
• Working knowledge of industrial robots and cobots.
• Experience of working with combined authorities, growth hubs or trade bodies.
• Confident presenter, able to influence everyone from the shop floor to the boardroom.
• Experience of planning and delivering events and demonstrations.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across Yorkshire.

• Identify and qualify Yorkshire manufacturers with potential for robotics and automation.
• Act as an impartial adviser from first contact to installation.
• Collaborate with engineers and university specialists on costed, investment-ready plans.
• Help businesses select suppliers and access funding.
