Job summary

Amazon UK Services Ltd. is seeking an RME Technician to maintain a wide range of equipment and workspaces, uphold Health and Safety practices, and prevent machine downtime. This role focuses on improving availability and quality of equipment while enhancing the operational environment on-site.

You’ll perform proactive maintenance, diagnose faults in a live warehouse, support apprentices, and contribute to continuous improvement across EU sites. On-site shifts ensure rapid response to issues.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical, Electrical or Mechatronics or completed a 4-year UK certified apprenticeship.
• Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
• Advanced proficiency in the local language verbally and in writing.
• Multi skilled in electrical and/or mechanical disciplines.
• Experience of planned preventative maintenance systems.
• Experience fault finding within MHE/Automation systems. Experience in interpreting both mechanical and electrical drawings.
• Experience of conveyor maintenance, motor controllers/inverters.

Responsibilities

• Proactive and preventative maintenance tasks on a wide range of site equipment.
• Carry out reactive repairs and fault diagnosis in a live distribution warehouse including Amazon robotics maintenance.
• Use the latest tools to maximise equipment effectiveness.
• Uphold all health and safety policies and practices.
• Support the development and progression of on-site apprentices.
• Work on continuous improvement projects and roll out best practices across a range of EU sites.
