Job summary

South Carolina Department of Transportation is seeking a field position performing manual labor to install and repair drainage features, while safely directing traffic as a flagger in work zones. Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist with installation and repair of drainage features.
• Serve as flagger to direct traffic in work zones.
• Assist with placement of traffic control devices.
• Operate standard dump trucks to haul materials.
• Operate small equipment and power/hand tools.
• Remove litter, debris and dead animals from roadway.
• Assist during emergency and inclement weather, may require extended hours or 12-hour shifts.
