Job summary

Octane Recruitment Limited is seeking a Roadside Technician for a Cheltenham-based field role. This Superflex position supports a national breakdown service, with a highly flexible schedule and higher base pay to compensate for varied shifts.

The role offers strong earning potential with substantial OT and a well-rounded benefits package, including pension, life cover, and career progression. UK right to work is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 2 in light vehicle maintenance and repair (Level 3 preferred).
• Minimum 2 years' post-qualification hands-on experience with vehicles.
• Customer-focused approach.
• Full UK driving licence (max 6 points, no bans).

Responsibilities

• Attend roadside breakdowns and assess vehicle faults quickly and accurately.
• Carry out mechanical and electrical repairs at the roadside, including battery replacements, wheel changes, and minor engine fixes.
• Use diagnostic tools to identify issues and determine repair options.
• Provide temporary solutions when full repair isn't possible, ensuring member mobility.
• Advise members clearly on next steps, including recovery if needed.
• Work safely and efficiently in varied environments and conditions.
