Job summary

The RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to perform diagnostics and emergency repair on light vehicles across the UK. You will work from home to start and finish daily, and be supplied with a RAC van, fuel card, and full uniform with necessary tools and diagnostic kit.

You will have a Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification with at least 2 years' post-qualification experience, a customer-focused mindset, and a full UK driving licence to join a trusted team with a base salary of £41,600

Qualifications

• Level 2 light vehicle maintenance qualification or equivalent with at least 2 years' post-qualification experience.
• Strong customer-focused approach and good communication.
• Full UK driving licence is required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair and diagnostics.
• Provide emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Handle fault finding, tyre changes, and related roadside tasks.
• Dial in solutions and reassure RAC members during calls.
