RAC is hiring a Roadside Technician to join our Patrol division. You will perform mechanical roadside repairs, diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK, tackling issues from flat batteries to tyre changes.

Start and end your day at home, reporting to a local Bournemouth cluster and using your RAC van and diagnostic kit to service members on the road. We value a NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance, 2+ years’ experience, plus a full UK driving licence with under 6 points.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent with 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsabilités

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Resolve issues such as flat batteries, tyre changes, or complex faults with quick, confident solutions.
• Start and end each day from home, handling calls locally and serving RAC members.
• Utilise provided RAC van, tools, diagnostic kit and fuel card to complete each job.
