Job summary

RAC is hiring a Roadside Technician to diagnose and repair vehicles at the roadside, delivering fast, reliable service to members across the UK. You will operate from your home base and roam the Warrington cluster, returning home after each shift, with all required tools and a RAC van provided.

Ideal candidates hold NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent, with 2+ years of hands-on experience, and a full UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points

Responsibilities

• Provide expert mechanical roadside repair, diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Start and finish your day at home, tackling challenges and delivering quick, confident solutions.
• You’ll be equipped with a RAC van, fuel card, uniform, tools and diagnostic kit to get jobs done.
