Job summary

Octane Recruitment seeks a Roadside Technician in Newcastle for a Superflex, field-based role with a national breakdown company. You will attend breakdowns, perform roadside repairs, and use diagnostics to keep members mobile.

The role offers substantial overtime, a generous benefits package, and clear progression opportunities. A UK driving licence and relevant qualifications are required for this position.

Qualifications

• Must have Level 2 qualification in light vehicle maintenance and repair; Level 3 preferred.
• Minimum 2 years' post-qualification hands-on experience with vehicles.
• Full UK driving licence with max 6 points; no bans.

Responsibilities

• Attend roadside breakdowns and assess vehicle faults quickly and accurately.
• Carry out mechanical and electrical repairs at the roadside, including battery replacements, wheel changes, and minor engine fixes.
• Use diagnostic tools to identify issues and determine repair options.
• Provide temporary solutions when full repair isn't possible, ensuring member mobility.
• Advise members clearly on next steps, including recovery if needed.
• Work safely and efficiently in varied environments and conditions.
